Ordering
What do I receive?
You receive a custom pencil-style pet portrait made from your photo, available in graphite pencil or colored pencil, and delivered as a gallery canvas or framed canvas. You can also add the high-resolution digital file of your portrait to any order for +$24.95.
What portrait styles do you offer?
Every portrait is available in two pencil styles: graphite pencil, a classic soft black-and-grey pencil look, and colored pencil, the same hand-finished style rendered in natural color. Both are made from your photo, in the same sizes, at the same price.
Can I order a dog, cat, or another pet?
Yes. Studio Artlims creates pet portraits only, including dogs, cats, and other pets. We do not create person, couple, or family portraits.
Can I add a second pet?
Yes. You can add a second pet to the same portrait for +$34.95.
Can I order now and send the photo later?
Yes. Choose Send photo later when ordering. After checkout, you'll receive instructions to upload or email your pet photo.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes. Custom pet portraits work especially well for birthdays, holidays, adoption anniversaries, and memorial gifts. Framed Canvas is the best gift option because it arrives ready to display.

Photos
What kind of photo works best?
A clear, well-lit photo where your pet's face is visible and in focus works best. Natural daylight, sharp detail, and the original full-size image usually give the best result.
What if I'm not sure my photo is good enough?
Send the best photo you have. We review your photo before starting, and if there's an issue, we'll contact you.
Can I upload more than one photo?
Yes, but choose one main photo you want us to use for the portrait. Extra photos can help us understand details like fur color, markings, or expression.
Can you work from an old or memorial photo?
Yes, as long as the photo has enough detail. Older memorial photos can work, but very blurry or low-resolution images may limit the final result. If we need a better image, we'll reach out before starting.
Do you change the background?
The portrait is created in Studio Artlims' clean pencil-art style. The focus stays on your pet, so distracting backgrounds are simplified or removed where needed.

Proof & Re-dos
Do I get to see the portrait before it is printed?
Yes. You receive a digital proof before production begins.
Are the portraits AI-generated?
Our portraits are created using an AI-assisted digital art process based on the photo you upload. Each portrait is reviewed and refined by a real person before production. We also send you a proof before printing, so you can request a free re-do if it's not quite right.
How soon will I see my proof?
Most proofs are sent within 2–3 business days of ordering. If you add Priority Creation at checkout, your proof is sent within 24 hours of ordering.
Can I request changes?
Yes. One free re-do is included with every order. If the proof isn't right, we'll create a fresh new take before it goes into production.
What does the free re-do include?
A re-do is a fresh new take on your portrait: a brand-new version for you to approve, rather than small edits to the existing proof.
What does the re-do not include?
It does not include changing to a completely different pet photo after the artwork has already been created, unlimited re-dos, or changes caused by poor-quality source photos.
When does production begin?
Production begins only after you approve your digital proof. If we do not hear back, your order stays awaiting approval, so nothing is printed until you say yes.

Delivery
How long does it take?
Portraits are delivered in approximately 5–10 business days after approval.
Why does delivery start after approval?
Because your portrait is custom-made. We first create your proof, then you approve it or request one free re-do. Production starts after approval.
Is shipping free?
Yes. Free standard shipping within the United States is included on every physical portrait order.
Do I get tracking?
Yes. Physical canvas and framed canvas orders include tracking once shipped.
Is priority creation available?
Yes. Priority creation is available at checkout for +$24.95. During holiday periods, holiday priority creation may be available for +$34.95.
Do you ship internationally?
Not currently. Studio Artlims accepts orders from customers in the United States only, and every portrait is printed and shipped within the United States. International delivery is not available at this time.

Digital File Add-on
What is the digital file add-on?
It's an optional +$24.95 add-on for any canvas or framed order. You receive the high-resolution file of your own finished portrait, emailed to you to save, share, or print yourself. It's not sold on its own.
How and when do I get the digital file?
If you add it to your order, the file is emailed to you after you approve your portrait proof.
Can I add a digital copy to my canvas order?
Yes. You can add a high-resolution digital copy to any Canvas or Framed Canvas order for +$24.95.
Is the digital copy the same artwork as my canvas?
Yes. It is the digital version of your approved portrait.

Returns & Guarantee
Do you accept returns?
Because every portrait is custom-made specifically for each customer, standard returns and exchanges are not accepted.
What if my print arrives damaged?
If your printed portrait arrives damaged, contact us with photos of the issue and we'll replace it or refund you.
What if there is a misprint?
If your portrait arrives misprinted or meaningfully different from the digital proof you approved, we'll replace it or refund you.
What if I don't like the proof?
You get one free re-do before production. If the proof isn't right, this is the best time to tell us so we can create a fresh take.
What if the final print looks different from my approved proof?
If the final printed portrait is meaningfully different from the proof you approved, we'll make it right with a replacement or refund.
